OU TACTICS
As this story begins to unfold, I again have to make myself very clear. I AM YITZCHAK BITTON. Previously the mashgiach at Le Marais. I AM NOT distancing myself from any of the comments that I have made as the OU is suggesting. It is sad to see that their only response is not only to deny the issue, but to try and get ME to hop on their bandwagon. OU absurdity at its worst.
Please be advised that DOV SCHREIER is sending out false emails alleging that I am retracting my previous statements. THIS IS A LIE. But then again, it doesnt surprise me that after running up against lies for six months that this would be their Modis Operendi at this point in the game.

could you go into more detail regarding your allegations? Did you keep records preserving the dates on which the chef did certain things? an itemized dated list of violations?

What else is new? The CRC on Division Ave. may, so why not the O.U. ?
A suggestion: try not to attack or disparage the entire OU organization so broadly. If there are individuals that are not being forthright, that is one thing, but the OU is a huge organization and criticizing them as a whole may not be the correct thing to do and doesn't sound good.

Didn't OU/NCSY cover up OU Big Baruch Lanner of Hillel Yehsiva? If I recall OU turned deaf to all complaints of alleged acts of perversion performed by "rabbi" lanner because he brought them the $$

Do you know if this is the same chef that intimidated and attacked the previous OK mashgiach at that restuarant?
I remember hearing that the OK dropped the restuarants certification because of these reasons.
If yes, how did the OU give the new certification without consulting the OK and if they did, why give the hechsher?
Something very fishy with the OU handling of restuarants!! (no pun intended)
I think that the way that this could be resolved is if OU sends out a public letter addressing this issue. If this is true, then it will be very hard to eat in a kosher restaraunt ever again

You make some very valid points. As someone who has a close 'relative' working in the OU Kashrut system, I understand 100% what you are saying and, I am sad to say, I BELIEVE IN ENTIRETY everything you have claimed and stated on your website. The bottom line is--and to all (frum) people reading this posting, the OU cares more about $$$ than anything else! There are MANY OTHER OU certified establishments that also have had many Kashrut infractions (i.e the Allaham family-owned chain of "high end" restaurants in Manhattan--and now even in chic Beverly Hills, CA).
Issac, stand strong! Keep your faith and keep posting updates for all of us to see and hear. This is just the 'tip of the iceberg'!

We see the same type of lies and abuse from the OU when it comes to their "hashgacha" of Rubashkin/Aaron's/Supreme meats. The former mashgiach from KAJ is telling horror stories about the payoffs, mislabelling and general kashrut violations by Rubashkin. The OU does not have their own mashgiach there, they rely on the current KAJ mashgiach who is young and naive and these Rubashkin crooks are running circles around him. If you don't believe me ask Rabbi Kohn the former mashgiach and Rabbi Yudel Shain, who was the first to expose Moishe Finkel and Shevach, nine years ago. Bottom line, if you're a frum Jew, you have to be crazy to eat Rubashkin's!
Does anyone have contact at the OU so we can demand a response to these claims? Until such time I for one will no longer eat at Le Marais

I just want to suggest that first you contact Jewish Press, Jewish Week and any/all other newspapers you can. I know in the past such papers have been somewhat biased on the 'right' and 'left', respectively, but if you've been reading them lately, carefully, you'll notice subtle signs of a transition happening. Several specific articles have been published, one of which was written by a person with whom I am well acquainted... these articles would never have been published a few years ago. It could not hurt to try.
Second, don't get me started on the Vaad HaRabonim of Queens - possibly the most corrupt organization next to the mafia - short of killing people, chas v'shalom, they at least don't stoop that low, but they exercise all their power and influence to abuse the kashrut system and to gain as much money and power as they can - nothing else matters.
I sincerely hope this matter is thoroughly investigated by independent and impartial parties... nothing like this could remain secret if adequately investigated... all too many incidents similar to this have cropped up in the recent past, and it's high time that we get serious about enforcing our own laws and ideals.
Killing people? Why not? I notified several Rabbis in the Miami area that Emerald Caterers under the OK was cooking on Shabbat (which I saw with my own eyes on several occasions)and my entire family received threats of violence!!! My daughter was stalked "to send a message"!!
Kashrus isn't the only shekher business among US Rabbis. After I informed a man that his fiancee was not Jewish, (I was told by the girl herself) I was also threatened with violence and lawsuits from her "Rabbi".
In a separate instance, I informed a Rosh Yeshiva that one of his students was not Jewish (after investigating for a shidduch). In retaliation I have received,threats of bodily harm to me and my family from two "Rabbis" as well as several of their supporters.
Its all about money. Nothing about halacha, only money and protecting the "turf".
Don't let anyone intimidate you and if you receive any real threats, go to the FBI, it's a felony and they DO want to prosecute.
Ran into a former co-worker, a woman who had a Lubavitch conversion after she became engaged to a Jewish man.
She is not accepted as a Jew in Israel but she is working as a Mashgiach!!!
Another woman I know who also was converted by Lubavitch
(not accepted as a Jew in Israel) while she was engaged to a Jew (his family disowned him for marrying her) is a mikveh lady.
WHO is ensuring the kashrus of our food? our mikvos? Who are those who are running our religious institutions (I know of several "Rabbis" who are married to women who would not be considered Jewish in Israel, and several who are working as Mashgiachim and one Chazzan).
Maybe we should be questioning a lot more than Le Marais.
What do you mean that Lubavitcher conversions (whatever that means) are not accepted in Israel? Maybe you misread the news story a few months ago when the Chief Rabbinate in Israel said that they would not accept any conversions from Chutz LaAretz at all.

For those who may be unaware, the scum RICHARD KLASS and owner of le marais JOSE were able to adjourn for a week, which buys them more time to shut Mr. Bitton up. Luckily, they cant do it forever, and when its lifted, the truth will come flying out.
